Everyone who has returned completed initial site information surveys will
receive a GPS antenna for installation at their sites within the next few
days. Installation instructions and notes are being included with the
antennas, but you can also view the installation instructions at
<http://www.advanced.org/CSG-IPPM/tt-antenna>.

If you have not completed the initial site survey, I have included a copy below ...

On another note, the first IPPM measurement machine is being shipped to the University of Chicago today. I am hoping to ship another four systems by early next week (if I can get all the IP address info for these sites!)

Measurement machine physical location information. Installation of the measurement machine at your site will require installation of a Global Positioning System (GPS) system for obtaining highly accurate time, 120 VAC power, an analog phone line and a high-speed connection to a LAN close to the DMZ. See http://www.advanced.org/csg-ippm/mm-placement.html for detailed information on measurement machine placement. * Lead time for installation of GPS antenna=20 * Lead time for installation of telephone line (if not already available)=20 * Date when site will be available for measurement machine installation

Measurement machine LAN segment information (the LAN segment that the measurement machine will be connected to). =20 * Type of LAN. Please provide specific information about the LAN physical and link layer protocols and connections that the measurement machine will require. We need this information to correctly select the appropriate network interface card for the measurement machine (examples: 10BaseT over twisted pair cable or FDDI DAS over multimode fiber). * Diagram showing the site's network, including detail documenting the location of the measurement machine on this network and the location of the DMZ. * Brief description of network between measurement machine LAN and demilitarized zone (DMZ) (or router at ISP POP). Include devices such as routers, switches, bridges and firewalls.=20 * Number and nature of other network nodes on LAN segment=20 =20
